I painted this on Tisha B'av, the day both our Holy Temples were destroyed. There is deep texture and energy to express the intnesity of this moment.
We are taught that while the Temple was burning, our enemies took the Holy Cherubs outside to shame our people, to taunt and mock them as if G-d disapeared.
The vision of the Keruvim embracing at that time gave the Jewish people a needed reminder; that deep within the flames, was God's infinite love and embrace towards our nation.
May Hashem's love towards each of us be revealed and felt, in each global or personal moment of crumbling, as this day of mourning will be transformed to days of joy.
